The HNC in Engineering programmes, throughout the whole UK, is in a transition period of changing over to a new framework and updating all modules, syllabuses, etc.
The last enrolment/registration for the suite of 6 HNC in Engineering programmes listed on www.logis-tech.co.uk was early August 2006. Details of those programmes are still listed for four reasons; (i) For the benefit of the hundreds of students presently studying towards their HNC in Engineering qualification and who have until 30th May 2009 to complete (ii) For the benefit of new students just wishing to study a few individual HN modules as these HN modules can also stand on their own merit as a stand alone qualification (iii) For the benefit of students who have previously studied at higher national level and already have in their possession a number of HN modules (SQA accredited) and now wish to complete their HNC in Engineering qualification.
(iv) Since time is now quite short, and as stated above, students are No longer allowed to register at the beginning on the full HNC in Engineering programme. However, it is still possible to complete this existing HNC in Engineering programme under the existing present scheme and that is by enroling on an individual (single module) basis. It is a little bit more expensive. Sample of costing for a single HN unit
The 6 HNC in Engineering programmes (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Multidiscipline, Chemical Process and Instrumentation Engineering) presently running expire on the 30th May 2009. It should also be mentioned that any credit gained before that date cannot be transferred to the NEW HNC programmes and that the final completion date is NOT going to be extended. A disclaimer form will also have to be signed staing that the student is aware of the final completion date.
If still interested in enroling on the existing HNC programmes please send an email to hugo@logis-tech.co.uk titled "existing HNC Engineering". Students must be confident/willing in be able to work hard and put the effort in and satisfy A-1 Technical Training that they will do so.
The NEW HNC programmes are to be run shortly and details of which will follow shortly. Due to the high volume, we are unable to reply immediately, but we will reply back to you as soon as full details are available. A waiting list is going to be set up for these programmes.
